San Jose, Bracknell, Belfast, 17th March 2003
Simentra Ltd, a company providing a low-risk, cost effective and fast route to the market for early stage and venture capital backed high-growth technology firms, today announced their increased campaign to promote the value of international collaboration to encourage best of practice business acceleration for companies housed in international business incubators.
The campaign is being lead by Glenn Hardy, a Director with Simentra who operates the Government Business Unit at the company. Hardy will be presenting, moderating and co-ordinating panel discussions in May 2003 throughout the UK with the Business Incubation Association, the European Chapter of the Silicon Valley Association of Start up Entrepreneurs and the prestigious Technium facilities, part of a £200 million project to develop state of the art international incubators throughout Wales in the UK.
The USA based program has been driven by the support that the company have received working with the International Business Incubator in San Jose, California, which has resulted in the company taking office space there on a permanent basis. The presentations are a result of extensive work and research spearheaded by Hardy to ensure that incubation and technology transfer facilities tap into the invaluable experiences, personnel and resources that are available on a shared basis on each side of the Atlantic.
Simentra were recently commissioned to pioneer a project on behalf of the Technium facilities in Wales to prospect for associations, companies and facilities who were interested in international associate membership to provide reciprocal business opportunities between the regions.
"Through the efforts of the Simentra team in the Government Business Unit, we have studied and visited a multitude of facilities in the UK and USA. It has become evident that shared partnerships and relationships will not only heighten the international business links but foster a spirit of collaboration between companies who occupy the units at these facilities. It is our aim to use our services to help mature these relationships and extend the international business acceleration opportunities that are evidently available.” commented Hardy.
The company have also recently renewed their commitment to the 48th Annual Conference for the International Small Business to be held in June 2003 and continue their support for the annual CAL IT conference in London that exploits the top 50 emerging technology companies from California seeking UK market expansion.
