Simentra complete Australian merger

Simentra continue to expand their international network of offices, associates and partners with the opening of an office in Sydney, Australia to further extend their global reach in the delivery of business acceleration services for high growth technology companies.

The company, headquartered in Belfast already operates additional offices in Bracknell, UK and San Jose, California. The Asia Pacific region has always been an integral part of the company development strategy and the merger with Récolte Consulting helped to expedite the process more effectively. Récolte Consulting, operated by Emilio Robles with associates in the USA, China, and the USA will assume operations under the Simentra brand with Robles acting as Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region for the company.

Simentra have since their inception in November 2001 grown the business to over 30 people associated with the delivery of their range of Business Acceleration services. The company are already impressing their services upon the University arena, technology incubators, inward investment agencies and commercial technology companies in Australia. With the national market restricting the potential international growth of high technology, Simentra are hoping to introduce the best that Australia has to offer on an international basis.

International incubation study

A comprehensive international study was commissioned by Technium, a Welsh Government technology incubation initiative in the UK, to identify areas of best practice for technology business acceleration in a comparative study between the west coast of USA and the UK market.

Simentra completed the international study on technology business incubation for the Technium programme, a range of technology incubators being established by the Welsh Government in the UK to accelerate early stage companies and foster business partnerships between the government, academia and commercial institutions.

The campaign was managed by Gareth White, a Director with Simentra who operates the Incubation Business Unit at the company. White coordinated panel discussions during the course of the 3 month assignment in California with a series of industry influencers, venture capitalists, incubation operators and early stage technology companies.

The USA based program was also designed to develop an international Associate Programme for the Technium facilities in the UK. Working with the International Business Incubator in San Jose, California the study included examples of policies, infrastructure and business support mechanisms being utilised by technology incubators in developing nations in addition to the review of the Californian based facilities.
